How do you better serve the loved ones around you?

How do you better serve?

This last Thursday Manny and I took a trip down to San Diego to go to a seminar centered around self development called the Perfect Life Retreat.

The focus was learning how to structure your day and create rituals and set rules and boundaries for yourself so you can get the most our of your day and better serve your vision in terms of what you want for yourself personally and professionally etc.

Entrepreneurs from all walks of life were there. Everyone from Financial advisors to Fitness Business owners, Motivational Speakers, Writers, New York Times best selling authors etc.

Being immersed in this setting, a reminder dawned on me..

It was a reminder that I think we are all guilty at some point in time of putting everyone else before ourselves..

When that happens our health could potentially be put on the back burner and over time we could start to feel mentally and emotionally drained..

It was a reminder that its okay to say “No” sometimes to committing to things that don’t serve what really matters to you. When you say yes to something you’re saying no to something else..

Some big break throughs I’ve personally had in the past couple years were when I decided to stop being a “people pleaser” and set boundaries, practice self love and start doing things that served me to become a better person.

Once I started to work on myself life became better in many aspects of my life. Relationships grew stronger, Spiritually had some breakthroughs, business started to pick up, became closer to family etc.

I realized that the more I worked on myself the better I became as a man and the better I was able to serve and give more value back to the people that mattered most in my life(Family, Friends, and Members at Unleashed Strength).

So my point is this…

Never feel guilty about taking time for yourself to practice self love, work on your health, setting boundaries, having a routine etc.

Never feel bad about working on becoming a better version of yourself because we know that the silver lining is that the more you evolve as a spouse, a parent, citizen, and overall a better person, the better you will be able to serve those you matter most and the better your life will become.

“You’ll change a life by changing yours.”

Yours in Strength & Health,

Trevor
